Artwork Description
A Moment Within is a hand-painted female portrait oil painting that combines graceful contours with a richly weathered surface. A dark-haired woman tilts her head with eyes closed, surrounded by layered ivory, beige, gray, and earthy brown.
Her face occupies the upper center of the vertical canvas, establishing an immediate focal point. The gentle angle of her head introduces a quiet movement that continues through the curve of her neck and shoulders.
Closed eyelids and softly arched brows give the portrait a contemplative appearance. Dark lashes define the eyes, while the remaining facial features are shaped through warm tonal changes and expressive outlines.
Terracotta-red lips provide a concentrated accent within the neutral palette. Soft coral touches across the cheeks echo this warmth, bringing a delicate flush to the otherwise restrained coloring.
Long black hair surrounds the face in broad, flowing waves. Its deep tone creates a striking contrast with the pale background and helps frame the lighter skin.
Subtle rust and brown strokes appear within the hair, suggesting highlights along its curves. These warmer marks prevent the dark passages from becoming uniform and connect them with the surrounding earth tones.
Loose strands trail across the right shoulder, adding fine linear detail beside the larger painted shapes. Their irregular curves contribute to the portrait’s relaxed, expressive character.
An ivory garment with slender dark straps occupies the lower portion of the composition. Its mottled surface echoes the background, allowing the figure to feel closely integrated with the surrounding layers of paint.
The shoulders and arms are described in warm cream, ochre, and tan. Broken pale marks interrupt these areas, carrying the painting’s textured finish across the figure as well as the setting.
Behind the woman, overlapping rectangular passages suggest a weathered architectural surface. Vertical black lines at the left and a rust-brown strip at the right add structure around the portrait’s flowing contours.
Ivory and gray layers partially obscure the darker background marks. Their scraped edges and irregular coverage create depth, giving the surface the appearance of accumulated, timeworn layers.
The painting balances clearly drawn features with freely handled texture. Fine contours around the face and shoulders sit beside broader brushwork, roughened passages, and scattered exposed colors.
From across a room, A Moment Within offers a strong silhouette and a softly composed expression. Closer viewing reveals delicate facial shading, warm highlights, and the varied marks that enrich its tactile surface.
Its vertical format suits a bedroom, dressing area, living room, or reading corner. Cream upholstery, walnut furniture, linen textiles, and muted terracotta accessories complement its warm palette and intimate atmosphere.
Contemporary, transitional, and eclectic interiors provide fitting surroundings for the portrait. Its combination of elegant line and weathered texture also brings a distinctive human presence to spaces furnished with natural materials and collected decorative objects.
Each painting is individually hand-painted, allowing subtle variations in brushwork, texture, and color transitions that make every artwork unique.

GOOD TO KNOW
Questions, answered.
Clear details, so you can choose with confidence.
Are Viarteart paintings printed?
No. Our paintings are made by hand on canvas, with real brushwork rather than printed reproduction. Depending on the design, our artists may use oils, acrylics, and texture mediums. If you would like exact materials for a specific artwork, please ask before ordering.
Can I request a different size or color?
We offer custom sizing and color adjustments for many paintings. Contact our team with your preferences before placing an order.
Will I see my finished painting before it ships?
Yes. We send photos for your review after painting is complete. You can request minor adjustments before approving the finished work for framing and shipping.
How long does production and delivery take?
Hand-painting and drying generally take 7–14 days. We then send photos for your approval before framing and dispatch. Delivery after dispatch usually takes about 5–7 business days, depending on destination and carrier. Approval changes and transit delays can extend the total timeline, so delivery dates are estimates rather than guarantees.

The quality of the art was better than I expected. It's absolutely an amazing piece of artwork. Thank you.
the customer service team was wonderful throughout the whole process. After several small changes I’m very happy with the work. However, as the impasto paint is quite thick, I would strongly recommend it is shipped as stretched canvas (like mine was) or the paint will crack if sent rolled.
The item was as described, thought the waves would be thicker in depth, but it looks nice in our LR.

Its still at DHL. There's trouble on my end here.
Ocean Whisper – Hand-Painted Textured Coastal Waves Oil Painting
We just moved into our new house and had a huge blank wall for weeks. This finally made the space feel finished.
I struggled to pick a color, but this one looks great with my furniture.
5 stars! I’d recommend it.
The painting itself is lovely, but I wish the canvas stretched a bit tighter on the wooden frame. It’s slightly loose on one side but not too noticeable.
really nice workmanship. Better than expected.
Bought as a gift. It was a huge hit!
Simple, clean, and exactly the kind of look I wanted.
It looks exactly like the listing photos. The texture is great. The hanging hardware on the back was slightly crooked, but easy to fix.
Packed very securely. No damage.
Great material and feels premium.
Exceeded expectations. Found my new favorite shop.
Very artistic. I love this style.
Colors are rich and the canvas is tight on the frame stretcher. There’s a tiny smudge of pencil on the back wood, front is perfect.
Stunning vibrant colors. It brought so much life to our boring dining room wall. Already got a compliment from a neighbor.
really beautiful work! The cardboard corner protectors were a nice touch in the package. No scratches at all.
Took about two weeks to arrive in Seattle, but the craftsmanship is undeniable. The brushwork and texture feel much more substantial than mass-market wall art.
Good item, arrived safely in a timely manner. The back staples are a bit messy but the artwork itself is in great condition.
Exactly as described on the store. Adds a nice sophisticated touch to our guest bedroom. Our visitors always notice it.
Very happy with this piece for our dining room. The paint gives off a slight odor initially but went away after venting it out.
Super pretty, exactly as pictured.
Great packaging and fast delivery.
Love it. really nice quality.
Perfect! I’d recommend it.
Out of all the brands I looked at, Viarteart had the most unique vibe.
Good communication from the store when I asked about transit updates. Arrived safely and looks amazing over the mantel.
Exceeded what I expected for this price point. It’s an actual oil painting, you can feel the paint. Shipped very securely to Miami.
The packaging was incredibly secure. in great condition canvas. The impasto technique used gives it so much life and dimension.
Took forever to ship out, almost a week before it even scanned at the carrier facility. The art itself is fine, but be prepared to wait.
Really good art. Sturdy wooden frame behind the stretched canvas. A little difficult to hang by myself due to the size, but great.
The colors are slightly darker than the picture on my phone, but the brushwork is beautiful. Arrived in about 6 days to Texas.
A solid 4 stars. The wood frame could be a tiny bit heavier, but the canvas painting itself is gorgeous. Easy to hang.
Shipping was quick to Ohio. The artwork was wrapped in heavy duty bubble wrap. It looks incredibly elegant over our piano.
Pretty good painting. There’s a tiny spot where the paint looks a bit thick, but nobody notices it unless they are an inch away.
Perfectly stretched canvas, very neat on the back. Came with all the hardware needed to mount it on drywall. Good experience overall.
The painting quality is great, but the package required a signature and the carrier didn't ring my bell, had to drive to the depot to get it.

ARTIST PROFILE
Kemi Adebayo
Born 1990, NIGERIA
Kemi Adebayo is a contemporary African artist whose work is rooted in emotion, identity, and personal narrative. Through bold strokes and layered textures, she explores the unspoken experiences that shape human connection and self-expression. Her paintings are driven by instinct rather than precision, allowing movement, rhythm, and raw energy to define each piece. Color plays a central role in her work — not as decoration, but as language, conveying intensity, memory, and voice.
