Curves in Accord is a hand-painted abstract oil painting diptych that pairs sculptural ridges, rounded geometric forms, and contrasting olive green and warm beige surfaces.
The left panel centers on a substantial green arch. Closely spaced raised lines follow its rounded crown before descending toward the lower edge, creating a strong architectural presence.
Within the arch, a narrow opening reveals a quieter textured surface. This small interruption gives the repeated contours a clear center and emphasizes their carefully nested arrangement.
A partial green circular form enters from the upper-left corner. Its concentric ridges echo the larger arch below, establishing a visual connection between the two shapes.
Warm beige curves appear behind these green forms. Their softer color and partially concealed contours introduce another layer, giving the composition depth through overlap.
The pale background carries irregular marks and shallow fissure-like textures. These uneven details provide a subtle contrast to the smooth, continuous rhythm of the raised geometric lines.
In the right panel, the palette reverses. Broad beige bands travel across an olive green ground, creating a complementary composition with a more fluid direction.
The pale ridges descend from the upper edge, bend through the center, and extend toward the sides and bottom. Their rounded turns create a flowing sequence that guides the eye around the panel.
Green horizontal and vertical ridges appear beneath and beside the beige forms. These secondary passages connect the background with the sculptural linework, adding structure to the open areas.
Both panels balance orderly repetition with irregular surface texture. The contrast gives the pair a tactile character, combining the precision of geometric pattern with the variation of hand-applied paint.
Light and shadow define the raised contours, making their depth central to the artwork’s appearance. Closely spaced grooves add fine detail within the larger, readily recognizable shapes.
The restrained palette brings together earthy olive and creamy sand tones. These colors create warmth and cohesion while allowing the changing direction of the ridges to remain the primary focus.
Each panel has a vertical format, and together they form a balanced horizontal arrangement. Shared colors and repeated curves unite the pair while giving each composition its own distinct rhythm.
In a living room, bedroom, dining room, or entryway, the diptych introduces dimensional texture and measured movement. It works particularly well above a console, sideboard, or seating area.
Natural oak, linen, stone, and softly textured upholstery complement its earthy finish. Organic modern, minimalist, Scandinavian, and retro-inspired interiors suit the combination of rounded forms and quiet color.
Each painting is individually hand-painted, allowing subtle variations in brushwork, texture, and color transitions that make every artwork unique.
