Embers Beneath the Surface is a hand-painted abstract oil painting featuring deep charcoal, smoky gray, turquoise, and glowing amber passages within a richly textured vertical composition.
A broad area of pale gray opens through the center, creating a luminous space surrounded by darker layers. Its irregular boundaries give the painting depth and draw attention toward the subtle transitions within the surface.
Black and deep charcoal gather along the left edge and lower portion. These substantial passages anchor the composition, providing a dramatic foundation for the warmer colors emerging above them.
Near the lower middle, orange and amber form a concentrated band of warmth. Broken marks and softened edges give this passage the appearance of light filtering through layers of dark paint.
A quieter echo of orange appears below, partially enclosed by the surrounding charcoal. This repeated warmth connects the lower sections and encourages the eye to explore beyond the central focal area.
Across the upper canvas, turquoise and muted green introduce a contrasting cool accent. Their scattered shapes, fine trails, and mottled edges suggest a patinated surface shaped by successive layers of color.

Will I see my finished painting before it ships?

How long does production and delivery take?

Delivery after dispatch usually takes about 5–7 business days, depending on destination and carrier. Approval changes and transit delays can extend the total timeline, so delivery dates are estimates rather than guarantees.
What if my painting arrives damaged?

the customer service team was wonderful throughout the whole process. After several small changes I’m very happy with the work. However, as the impasto paint is quite thick, I would strongly recommend it is shipped as stretched canvas (like mine was) or the paint will crack if sent rolled.
The item was as described, thought the waves would be thicker in depth, but it looks nice in our LR.
