Artwork Description
Urban Passing Moments is a sophisticated contemporary figurative oil painting that captures the quiet poetry of everyday city life. Featuring a collection of abstract human silhouettes moving through a luminous urban setting, this artwork transforms an ordinary moment into an elegant expression of movement, individuality, and modern living.
The composition unfolds against a beautifully layered background of warm ivory, soft beige, pale gray, and subtle blue tones. Loosely defined figures in deep navy, charcoal black, muted teal, vibrant orange, burgundy, and fresh green create a captivating visual rhythm as they move through the cityscape.
Each figure is rendered with expressive, impressionistic brushstrokes, allowing the viewer to experience the atmosphere of a bustling city without unnecessary detail. Their elongated silhouettes and softly dissolving reflections suggest movement and depth, while the spacious, light-filled background creates a sense of openness and tranquility.
Rich palette-knife textures, layered oil paint, and abstract architectural impressions give the artwork a distinctive tactile quality. The interplay between softly textured neutral surfaces and bold, expressive figures creates a harmonious balance of energy and refinement.
The painting's square composition provides visual stability, while the arrangement of figures naturally guides the eye across the canvas. Its understated yet colorful palette makes it especially versatile for interiors that embrace modern elegance and artistic individuality.
Urban Passing Moments is an inviting statement piece for contemporary living rooms, sophisticated dining areas, modern entryways, home offices, and thoughtfully curated commercial spaces. Its blend of urban storytelling and abstract expression brings warmth, movement, and artistic character to any environment.
Perfect for Contemporary, Modern Luxury, Transitional, Urban Modern, Minimalist, and Eclectic interiors, this artwork offers a timeless interpretation of human connection within the modern city.
Each painting is individually hand-painted, allowing subtle variations in brushstrokes, texture, and artistic expression.

GOOD TO KNOW
Questions, answered.
Clear details, so you can choose with confidence.
Are Viarteart paintings printed?
No. Our paintings are made by hand on canvas, with real brushwork rather than printed reproduction. Depending on the design, our artists may use oils, acrylics, and texture mediums. If you would like exact materials for a specific artwork, please ask before ordering.
Can I request a different size or color?
We offer custom sizing and color adjustments for many paintings. Contact our team with your preferences before placing an order.
Will I see my finished painting before it ships?
Yes. We send photos for your review after painting is complete. You can request minor adjustments before approving the finished work for framing and shipping.

Hand-painting and drying generally take 7–14 days. We then send photos for your approval before framing and dispatch. Delivery after dispatch usually takes about 5–7 business days, depending on destination and carrier. The quality of the art was better than I expected. It's absolutely an amazing piece of artwork. Thank you.
the customer service team was wonderful throughout the whole process. After several small changes I’m very happy with the work. However, as the impasto paint is quite thick, I would strongly recommend it is shipped as stretched canvas (like mine was) or the paint will crack if sent rolled.
The item was as described, thought the waves would be thicker in depth, but it looks nice in our LR.

Its still at DHL. There's trouble on my end here.
Ocean Whisper – Hand-Painted Textured Coastal Waves Oil Painting
We just moved into our new house and had a huge blank wall for weeks. This finally made the space feel finished.
I struggled to pick a color, but this one looks great with my furniture.
5 stars! I’d recommend it.
The painting itself is lovely, but I wish the canvas stretched a bit tighter on the wooden frame. It’s slightly loose on one side but not too noticeable.
really nice workmanship. Better than expected.
Bought as a gift. It was a huge hit!
Simple, clean, and exactly the kind of look I wanted.
It looks exactly like the listing photos. The texture is great. The hanging hardware on the back was slightly crooked, but easy to fix.
Packed very securely. No damage.
Great material and feels premium.
Exceeded expectations. Found my new favorite shop.
Very artistic. I love this style.
Colors are rich and the canvas is tight on the frame stretcher. There’s a tiny smudge of pencil on the back wood, front is perfect.
Stunning vibrant colors. It brought so much life to our boring dining room wall. Already got a compliment from a neighbor.
really beautiful work! The cardboard corner protectors were a nice touch in the package. No scratches at all.
Took about two weeks to arrive in Seattle, but the craftsmanship is undeniable. The brushwork and texture feel much more substantial than mass-market wall art.
Good item, arrived safely in a timely manner. The back staples are a bit messy but the artwork itself is in great condition.
Exactly as described on the store. Adds a nice sophisticated touch to our guest bedroom. Our visitors always notice it.
Very happy with this piece for our dining room. The paint gives off a slight odor initially but went away after venting it out.
Super pretty, exactly as pictured.
Great packaging and fast delivery.
Love it. really nice quality.
Perfect! I’d recommend it.
Out of all the brands I looked at, Viarteart had the most unique vibe.
Good communication from the store when I asked about transit updates. Arrived safely and looks amazing over the mantel.
Exceeded what I expected for this price point. It’s an actual oil painting, you can feel the paint. Shipped very securely to Miami.
The packaging was incredibly secure. in great condition canvas. The impasto technique used gives it so much life and dimension.
Took forever to ship out, almost a week before it even scanned at the carrier facility. The art itself is fine, but be prepared to wait.
Really good art. Sturdy wooden frame behind the stretched canvas. A little difficult to hang by myself due to the size, but great.
The colors are slightly darker than the picture on my phone, but the brushwork is beautiful. Arrived in about 6 days to Texas.
A solid 4 stars. The wood frame could be a tiny bit heavier, but the canvas painting itself is gorgeous. Easy to hang.
Shipping was quick to Ohio. The artwork was wrapped in heavy duty bubble wrap. It looks incredibly elegant over our piano.
Pretty good painting. There’s a tiny spot where the paint looks a bit thick, but nobody notices it unless they are an inch away.
Perfectly stretched canvas, very neat on the back. Came with all the hardware needed to mount it on drywall. Good experience overall.
The painting quality is great, but the package required a signature and the carrier didn't ring my bell, had to drive to the depot to get it.
